100th day of Kindergarten

Today was the 100th day of kindergarten. We still have one activity related to the number 100 which we will finish up on Monday after the assembly. We'll make necklaces out of Cheerios that will hopefully be counted out carefully just before we string them. If you're a parent volunteer Monday please stay and help out the students who'll need help with this task.

Still we did a few activities related to 100. We sang "100 Bottles of Pop on the Wall," a song with 100 verses (probably 96 too many verses!)

We ran almost 100 laps but didn't quite make it because we were interfering with the PE teacher's lesson plans.

We placed 100 cardboard blocks on the playground to see if that would be enough to reach all the way across the playground. It was but not by many.

There were four more blocks than the 96 needed.

Carrying the blocks back inside the room
Madilynn brought snack today: 100 orange sections; 100 blueberries; 100 strawberry pieces; and home made frozen yogurts—100 small scoops of it—served in cones.

The kids brought 18 collections of 100 things to school. Here they are. That is 1800 individual items.

Here we are at the end of the day.

Have a good weekend. Go Niners if you love the SF team.

Be well.
