Back to School Tonight

Today was Jaelyn's day to bring snack and a story. The snack, little PB & J sandwiches cut into shapes by a cookie cutter (I think) were well liked. We ate most of the carrots and grapes.

She brought a book about kindergarten written some time ago when the goals of kindergarten were more centered on the social and emotional development of five to six year old children. Still, the book described many of the things we do here in this room even in 2012.

Tonight is Back to School Night. I'll be here to welcome you at 6:00 and we'll have until 6:30 to go over the kindergarten year here at Dunham.

After the classroom presentation, we will adjourn to the western courtyard by the west parking lot where the prinicpal, Adam Schaible, will address the whole assembly and introduce the faculty and staff.

I hope to see you tonight.
