Thursday's Notes--Picture Day tomorrow

Thanks to all who came to Back to School Night last night. I enjoyed talking with you and having the chance to lay out the major outlines of the kindergarten year. It will be a good year.

We started out new centers today. All went well. Anthony told me he didn't know how to do puzzles. So we showed him how and he did the dinosaur puzzle you see here, no problem.

Good job, Anthony!

Because the class is so good about parking bikes when the whistle blows, I added four new "bikes" (the yellow Kettcars, the trike truck between them in the photo below, and a two wheeler made of trike parts) to the mix today. The class is very good about sharing and taking turns. We had fun riding.

We enjoyed a happy half hour riding bikes at the end of the day.

I hope you've read all the way to the end of this post because here's the reminder I want to leave you with:

Tomorrow is picture day. Dress your child in whatever clothing you wish to have memorialized in their kindergarten class photo. You may want to allow a little extra time in the morning to work on hairdos for the camera, too.

See you tomorrow!

Be well.
