Friday, September 9—Teeth and Shoes

Our school photos were taken almost the first thing this morning.

Before the first thing, Dylan lost his first tooth. We wrote the word "tooth" on the chalkboards as we opened the class.

We had PE today. Mrs. Campbell asked me to remind you that PE is on Tuesdays and Fridays. Right now we're doing lessons that relate to soccer mostly.

She asks that you send you child to school in shoes good for running and kicking balls. Sturdy shoes that support and cover the foot are best.

She asked me to show you an example of GOOD PE footwear:

Sturdy, stable shoes.

Below is footwear she feels does not offer enough protection or stability during vigorous PE activities. Bearing in mind that our first rule is: BE SAFE, you can see what she's getting at. She likes shoes that can be laced up, won't fly off the foot with kicking motions, and isn't likely to give the wearer a sprained ankle.

Have a good weekend.

Be well.
