The Variety Show Video

Marley's father, Jason Sweeney, took a video of the Variety Show performance we did earlier this month. I ran it through iMovie to add some titles to it.

Here, for your viewing pleasure, is the kindergarten ukulele players:

On Vacation

The whole family is in the mountains. I'm so happy to be with my adult offsprung, Ted and Elizabeth. We are having a fabulous time.

The water is ice cold right now.

Ted and I rented Stand Up Paddleboards this morning. We had a really good time.

Year's End

What a great year it has been. So many wonderful things happened, so many new beginnings. Ukuleles galore. The parents of the kindergarten class connected with each other and planned joint playtimes at the parks. Lots of lost teeth. First times on two wheels. The garden, drama, and art program started this year. And we hired a new school leader, Adam Schaible, and said good bye to retiring Mrs. Wilding.

On Friday we enjoyed a wonderful school carnival. Mona Lisa even showed up—in a big way—on the playground:

I have countless fond memories of the class. I look forward to seeing them in the fall in the afternoons of first grade.

Summer vacation has arrived. It will seem quite long to the now first graders. May it also be happy.

Be well.

Wednesday, June 1, 2011: Variety Show Day

Thanks to all who came to see the Variety Show.

19 of us were there on stage, and early reports say that we could be heard, even outdoors.

Because I was conducting I wasn't able to get any photos of the performance, but perhaps if you have one you'd be willing to email me I can add it to this report.

Jason Sweeney took video and hopefully he can put that up on YouTube and I can link to it.....

Second grader Kiley Andersen may have stolen the show with her 1 Chicken Circus.

We will perform our two songs at the beginning of the day inside the kindergarten room on Friday. I invite you to stay for that encore performance.
