Brrr. A cold and foggy morning and cold winter afternoon sunshine. We got out on bikes for a quarter of an hour as much to pick up the litter on the playing field and to clean up the bike parking lot which had gotten disorganized through disuse over the past weeks.

Over break, Marley learned how to ride a bike and was eager to show me her new skills. She did have one brief encounter with the asphalt which brought tears born more from frustration than pain. I was impressed that she recovered so quickly, got back on the bike, and rode around the track. Here's a picture after her recovery:

Hannah brought a delicious snack of muffins, melon, oranges, and yogurt. The yogurt was delicious. Less waste in this sort of packaging (these containers can be reused in a kindergarten classroom) as compared to the yogurt in plastic tubes that come in cardboard boxes. More choice of flavors. Less artificial coloring and flavoring. Probably cheaper too. Win/win/win. I hope others will send yogurt this way. We use metal spoons and restaurant style plastic plates, so there's less waste together with more practice cleaning up, too.

It gets the Racky look of approval:

Send yogurt this way!
Much else, handwriting, math lessons etc. but I've got to rush off to a meeting.
