The day passed so quickly. It seems like I just got here and already I'm late leaving for home. Here's the news, such as it is:

We enjoyed Jackson's story.

We did get out on bikes to pick up the litter around the playground and to practice riding. Santa Claus brought Mollie a new bicycle, a really nice one. Here's Molly riding it this morning:

The sun shone today.

We listened to a song and book of Mr. Gurney's called "Don't Laugh at Me" by Steve Seskin. It's got a compassionate anti-bullying message delivered with grace.

I came in this afternoon just in time to listen to the "Don't Laugh at Me" song. Beautiful message to send to the kids starting at this young age! We as parents need to be responsible about teaching our children to be tolerant and kind to all kinds of people. Thanks again for your continuted compassion and for teaching our children about kindness. Shari Moore

Hi, Shari,

Thanks for commenting. Yes, it's a beautiful message that's traveled far and wide. I love that song. I'll try to post the song this week so you can play it from the blog.

I like to remember that we're all cousins. Obama is my cousin, Sarah Palin is—actually—my cousin, not a first or second cousin, according to a genealogist who worked up my family, but a cousin they can trace. So we must learn to get along and be polite to each other, even if we don't always agree. We're one big ole family.
