Kindergarten Needs Room Parent

The kindergarten class needs a person to volunteer to be "Room Parent."

This volunteer is our liaison to the Dunham School Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO).

The job involves active membership in the PTO, which meets once a month after school on a Tuesday afternoon. The PTO plans and runs activities that build community among the parents; it raises money for the school program and decides which ones to fund; it organizes seasonal classroom celebrations at Halloween, winter, Valentine's Day, spring, and the last day of school.

Someone who is (or wants to become more) outgoing, likes to get involved, make new friends, and serve the school community would enjoy this job.

If more than one of you offers to volunteer, you'll be part of the Room Parent committee.

Let me know if you'd like to appoint yourself to this post in the comment section here, or in person next week.

P.S. Despite the tricycle sign, you don't have to be a mom. A grandparent, aunt, uncle, dad, you name it will work out fine. You just gotta have the ability to go to a once a month meeting and want to get involved.

Thank you!

Thank you, Sonja. That's two, and a committee. Well done. I'll tell the PTO and make sure you have each other's contact information.
