Pajama Pizza Party

Friday we enjoyed a pizza party put on for us by Beckie Kullberg in recognition of the many new pajamas we collected to donate to children in foster care around here. I forget the numbers, but kindergarten donated a lot, as did first grade who donated even more. Both classes were so honored. Here's a picture.

The students are in pajamas because it was also a spirit day, and guess which class got the highest percentage of participants in that one? You guessed it, WE DID! So we got the spirit stick, too!

Way to go, kindergarten!

Mollie got a hot dog BBQ in addition in recognition of her outstanding citizenship on the playground.

Tomorrow more awards await as we have a ceremony in the Community Room to start off the week.

See you then!

Hi, Barbra. Yes we had a good time. And more to come this week, the final one of the year. Summer's almost here now.

Very proud of these little ones getting to learn the power of giving is what you get yourself by being generous. That's a lesson that lasts a lifetime. Just like so many of your daily lessons for our kids.

Mr. Gurney, I want to thank you again for your time, your investment in my two children, the seed of learning you've sewn in them both, your unique approach to teaching, your passion, your commitment and your love for all the kids! Thank you. It is very heartening to know that our public schools still have some great teachers to guide our kids.

Matthew, thank you for your generous comments. I enjoy teaching a lot, and having students in my class who're so ready to learn, like your M and P, makes my job all the more of a joy.
