What Teachers Make

I hadn't seen this before. I guess it's been around awhile. He expresses well the anger I can feel when someone patronizes teachers.

I found it on Teaching Kindergarten's blog. (With apologies if you've already seen it. You may know I'm a media hermit.)

Very talented!
He has me thinking of the youth academy teachers at Life Skills 4ll. They touch the heart & soul. I guess that's why so many teachers like these get through to so many adults and kids.
We know the difference.

Thank you, Chrystal and Barbra. Teaching at least at my level, is all about RELATIONSHIP. If you've got a good relationship with your students, you're good to go.

Without it, you're sunk.

Wow, I'd never seen him reciting this before! I heard this poem read by another teacher at a city-wide high school poetry slam recently.

Hi Polli,

He does a pretty good job, doesn't he? It's a good, solid poem.
