The Important Book: Jordan F.

The important thing about Jordan is her kindness and her big heart.

P.S. Tomorrow I will be involved in Kindergarten Screening for 2010 - 2011 and Mrs. Tunzi will be my substitute teacher. The class will be in good hands.

I have to say...I think every child should have a homemade book in their classroom. I think it is a wonderful message you have been sending to the children and families when you do this. I haven't commented but I really have been looking at these books. They Are important.
Could you please tell us how you do them, how you introduce them to the class, etc. This is wonderful, Dan!

Hi, Barbra--

I wrote a post back in 1997? about how this is done. If you go down to the list of labels and click on Important Book (26) the first post that comes up will give you the information about how it works in my classroom. I think the activity is well worth the effort you'll put out as a teacher to get it launched in your classroom.
