Kindergarten News

Faithful readers of the Mr. Kindergarten blog will be the first to get this news, straight from, well, me:

I will NOT retire this June after all.

On May 4, the Dunham School Board approved Mr. Gurney's request to stay on the Dunham teaching staff.

So does that mean you will be continuing to teach Kindergarten or just be on the teaching staff?

That's great, what were you going to do with all that free time anyway? LOL
Seriously, I was getting all geared up to miss your blog and the things I get from your experience.

Teach5, thanks for the nice comment. It's funny, I don't feel all that experienced. Every day is a new day with new puzzles and new challenges. You never know what's going to arise when you teach kindergarten!

Brenden is grinning ear to ear, with this news.
This is REALLY great news, to lots of families. Thank You for making this choice. We just hope you still do some of the other things you've been wanting to do too.
Looking forward to doing a coastal walk - where can we find a schedule?

Hi, Foxes,

Glad to hear that! I'm smiling, too, actually. Brenden will love kindergarten, I'll see to that. If you're interested in learning more about Coastwalk, visit:

We haven't settled yet on which one we'll do this summer, but we're leaning to Santa Barbara. I'd recommend the Family adventures for you. They have them in Sonoma, San Francisco, and Monterey.

Thanks for chiming in!
